Color destination action (with FX tail handling)
under review
André Rehnström
Request the ability to switch or control color destinations dynamically via actions. This enables workflows like toggling between routed effects (e.g., routing mic input only to one clip to avoid feedback, then switching it mid-set).
Use case examples:
– Route a signal (e.g. mic input) between colors during performance
– One XY pad can control FX across color groups, switching dynamically
– Multiple plugins mapped to the same controller, with the ability to target different color destinations
Essential technical expectation: FX tails (e.g., reverb, delay) should not be cut off when color destinations are switched. The previous color's tail should remain active and fade naturally, preserving sonic integrity.

I would like this for things like an xy pad that is linked to effects on different color groups so I can select the color group I want affect rather than having a separate xy pad for each color group taking up valuable screen space. Equally useful would be having multiple plugins assign to one xy pad with the ability to switch between the plugins being controlled. That way I could adjust different plugins even if they happen to be on the same color group.

Actually there is a workaround for this that works nice. send the mic to a bus, and destination for the bus should be the guitar tracks that you normally don’t want mic on. Then just mute/unmute the bus. Done ✅

I think very important for this function is that the tail (let's say you record with delay / reverb FX tails) is not chopped off as soon as the color target is changed. So the tail should still remain in the previous color.
