I believe UI could be even more powerful if we could have a kind of customizable sidebar system (or similar) that can be positioned independently on the top, bottom, right, or left of the screen. Each of these “sidebars” could be individually enabled or disabled per page as needed.
The idea is to provide quick access to certain widgets that are used frequently across Pages. What makes this concept special is that these sidebars would not be global (applying to all Pages), but instead customizable for each Page. Additionally, the sidebars themselves could be toggled on or off for each individual Page.
For example:
  • You could enable a specific sidebar only on Pages focused on Clips and Clip control, while having an entirely different sidebar (or none at all) on Pages focused on AUv3 plugins.
  • This way, users can have sidebars that are contextually relevant to the type of Page they are working on, avoiding unnecessary clutter and maintaining focus.
One of the most exciting possibilities with this feature would be the ability to create a personal Fullscreen Mode. Currently, Loopy Pro does not have a fullscreen option, and the Tool Symbols are always present across all Pages, often taking up valuable screen space on iPads and iPhones. With customizable sidebars, users could decide which Loopy Pro Tool Symbols (or other widgets) to display or hide on a Page-by-Page basis, freeing up space and optimizing their workflow for specific tasks.
For Loopy Pro in live mode, a small, unobtrusive dot (similar to TouchOSC) could appear at the top right corner of the screen, providing quick access to Loopy Pro-relevant or necessary tools. This would ensure that essential functionality is always available without compromising the clean, fullscreen experience.
This feature could be a huge step forward for users looking for a cleaner, more personalized, and functional interface.
