It’s hard to see what’s going on when you add multiple sends in a single channel. (Having for instance 4x sends on each channel is difficult to read the current value state).

Maybe they can be modified a bit looking like the widget dials or something?

And they should behave like faders.  Like all the others.
We don't draw circle or turn physical knobs with 1 fingers. We use our shoulders. And if we do use 1 finger it's still a straight line. Never a circle.
Circular motion on touch is so silly.
It's not for touch and not even how we use them in real life.
Relative vertical fader gesture is the norm for those reasons.
It's fine to offer it but combining different gestures for different encoders types will just create friction.
They are all encoders.
