Description
When iPadOS multitasking features like Split View or Slide Over are enabled, a UI conflict occurs in Loopy Pro on large iPads (e.g. 13"). In portrait mode, the system’s multitasking indicator ("three dots" at the top center of the screen) is positioned too close to clip name fields.
Problem
Due to the proximity of the system multitasking dots and the clip name field:
– Users frequently tap the wrong target when trying to rename clips.
– Double-tapping or text selection using fingers or Apple Pencil becomes unreliable.
– The issue is worsened by additional overlays like the AUM multitasking gesture area.
– The only current workaround is to globally disable Split View in iPadOS settings, which is not ideal.
Proposed Solution
– Adjust vertical or horizontal positioning of the clip name field when multitasking dots are present.
– Add dynamic padding or spacing in portrait mode on large screens to avoid overlapping touch targets.
– Optionally detect multitasking gesture zones and avoid placing essential UI elements in that region.
Benefits
– Prevents frustrating UI interactions when editing clip names.
– Improves accessibility and precision for both touch and Apple Pencil users.
– Enables uninterrupted use of iPadOS multitasking features without compromising the Loopy Pro interface.
Examples
– On a 13” iPad Pro in portrait mode, enabling Split View causes the three multitasking dots to overlap the clip name field, making renaming almost impossible.
– Disabling multitasking in iPad settings removes the conflict but is a poor user experience workaround.

At least in portrait mode when "Split View & Slide Over" is enabled in iPadOS 18.x, those tiny 3 dots on top of the screen are positioned very close to the name of the clips. If you want to rename them, It’s very difficult to touch the name field and not the 3 dots with your finger, and with the Apple pencil it’s almost impossible to double click and/or select the text box and change it (copy/paste). To make things even more congested, on top of the screen there is also the AUM multitasking gesture!!! The only workaround is to DISABLE Split View in iOS settings so those 3 dots do not appear and thus not hinder the touch UI. Please look into this because it’s very annoying!
